I have lived in Bright for the past 13 years and this is my second stint with Dickens Real Estate as a Business Broker.

I am a Forest Officer by training and worked for the Forests Commission all around Victoria, including 2 years based at Bright, where I met my wife, Dianne, a local Bright girl. I also worked as a Forest Officer for the SEC (State Electricity Commission of Victoria) based at Mount. Beauty for 12 years.

After leaving the SEC, my wife and I purchased a motel in Wodonga, which we successively operated for over 9 years.

We retired to Bright and moved into Dianne's family home, which we substantially renovated.
Dickens Real Estate sold our motel and they then approached me to assist them in listing and selling motels, caravan parks and small businesses. This worked really well for a number of years, but things went quiet, so I moved on.

After a trip around Australia, on returning to Bright, I took on a number of part time jobs including working at the local supermarket and managing the Myrtleford Caravan Park.

Having a background in operating a motel (as well as relief manager in a number of others), as well as managing a caravan park, has given me the knowledge to confidently deal with potential customers - both sellers and buyers.

I have interests in stamp collecting, wood working and lawn bowls; and I am an avid Hawthorn supporter. I love doing my job, meeting with a great variety of people, living in Bright and working as part of the DRE Business Brokers team.
